It’s not just business; it’s personal. The bi-annual Women In Film & Television International (WIFTI) Summit provides a face-to-face forum for networking and information sharing for women worldwide.

The New York chapter hosted the first official WIFTI Summit in Manhattan in September 1997. The Summit moved to Los Angeles, the capital of the entertainment world, in 1998, then in 2000, flew “across the pond” to London, where the Canadian and U.K. chapters toasted WIFTI’s international flavor with a cocktail reception at the Houses of Parliament.

The 2002 WIFTI Summit served up Jamaica’s vibrant culture and cuisine in Montego Bay, with an event aptly named “One Pot Stew… A Celebration of Diversity.”  Auckland, New Zealand continued the Summit’s jaunt around the globe, enlisting “Xena: Warrior Princess” Lucy Lawless as the 2004 host.

The 2005 WIFTI Summit returned to its Hollywood roots, bringing events full circle in Los Angeles, where Women In Film began.
